Cruise passengers are making a positive impact, as 63 percent of respondents said they have returned to a destination first visited via cruise ship. Travelers also spent an average of $750 per person in port cities throughout a typical seven-day voyage. The average age of cruise travelers is now 46 years old, and 36 percent of cruisers are under the age of 40.
